Senior Accountant - Long Term Contract 

A Galleria Electronics company is seeking a Senior Accountant for a long term contract assignment.  Responsibilities include supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of  Accounting Policies & Procedures; identifying and implementing change in order to shorten the close cycle; maintaining the general ledger by proposing and preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts; supporting the Director of Accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC & SOX; identifying accounting errors, propose corrections and implement controls so error does not occur again;  assisting in the preparation of 10-Q's and 10-K's including footnotes; and performing detailed account analysis as required by finance and operational management.
