Property Preservation Specialist - $25k to $33k
Job Description
- Conduct a thorough review of various vendor reports related to damaged properties to identify insurable perils and file hazard claims accordingly.
- Work directly with the Lender Placed Carrier as well the Standard Line Carriers to ensure receipt of the maximum cash value for damaged properties.
- Request hazard claim coverage for those properties with lapsed policies.
- Review exception reports related to Pre FC and REO properties to identify claimable damage.
- Monitor the claims process by following up with insurance company or dealing directly with the adjuster or claims representative.
- Oversee and track the performance of any third party agreements with regards to handling the claims process.
- Receive and process hazard claim proceeds sent by the insurance company.
Provide management with monthly performance summary reports related to the approximate number of new REO monthly, # new REO claims filed per month, % paid, # denied by carrier, settlement timelines, average recovery.
Work directly with the insurance companies to refute denied claims.
Provide feedback to vendors or third parties with regards to performance measurements (questionnaires, surveys, etc).
Required Experience:
- Mortgage Banking experience preferred
- 2+ years in a property preservation environment is required

- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Typing of at least 40 wpm
