Loan Counselor - $29k to $33k
Job Description
- Maintain accurate collection records of telephone customer contacts to collect monies on delinquent mortgages.
- Make note of any and all actions directly taken on customer accounts.
- Counsel mortgagors on programs that can be used to avoid foreclosure.
- Formulate both informal repayment plans and limited formal repayment plans.
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Required to work one late shift (11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) a week and two Saturday shifts (8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) a month. Saturday shifts are paid overtime.
- Eligible for monthly incentive pay.
Required Experience:
- 3 plus years prior collections experience is required.
- Previous experience in a mortgage banking or related financial institution is preferred.
This Job Requires the Following Skills:
- Typing skills of at least 35 wpm
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred
