Beki Abernathy

Vice President & Director of Sales

In her current position as Vice President and Director of Sales for Donovan & Watkins (D&W), Beki is responsible for the management and development of the Accounting, Finance, Clerical and Administrative staffing lines of business. Her twenty plus years of staffing industry experience are a tremendous asset to D&W and its clients alike.

Joining D&W in 1990, Beki began her staffing industry career in sales and recruiting. Specializing in the placement of clerical, administrative and legal candidates, Beki quickly established herself as a top producer. As a result of her outstanding performance, she was promoted to a management role with responsibilities for the training and performance management of both Sales and Recruiting.

From 2007 to 2010, Beki was instrumental in the development of capabilities around the placement of contract attorneys for electronic discovery as well as full time attorney placement nationwide. The e-discovery attorney capabilities developed by Beki ultimately formed what is today D&W Legal Solutions.

Prior to 1990, Beki worked in both the public and private sector. During a seven year tenure with the US Department of Justice/US Marshal Service, she served in the Western District of Kentucky in Louisville, Kentucky and on special assignment in Washington DC. After her distinguished public service, Beki relocated to Houston, Texas where she worked in residential real estate brokerage.

Beki is a proud supporter of the C.T. Bauer College of Business at University of Houston. She is also actively involved with the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) for which she uses her extensive relationships to match members with mentors in Houston companies.
